Hydrosol Uses

Lavender Fields Farm’s lavender hydrosol is a refreshing product that is part of the essential oil steam distillation process. Water and steam are pushed up through the lavender plant material, cooled, and separated into pure essential oil and pure lavender hydrosol. Hydrosol has a light fragrance and an abundance of beneficial uses, just a few include:

Face and Skin—Due to its antiseptic and anti-bacterial properties, spritzing lavender hydrosol on your face will keep it cleaner over the course of the day. It is also excellent for: controlling redness from acne, soothing angry skin, aiding in the healing of Eczema, cooling sunburns and Rosacea, hydrating and calming inflamed skin.

Hair—Lavender hydrosol makes a great “dry shampoo”, just spritz it on your hair and brush or comb. It also soothes irritated scalps.

Air Freshener—With anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties, it makes a great option for deodorizing and freshening any space. Spritz the lavender spray in the area desired, including your bedding, or add it to a humidifier.

Aromatherapy Baths—Using lavender hydrosol in your bath makes for a more relaxing experience, helps relieve stress, and brings a higher level of moisture to your skin.

Dog Care—Use it to keep your pet’s coat shiny and clean, as well as to disinfect and heal wounds.
